HERITAGE OPEN DAY AT THE MALTHOUSE PROJECT

During the national Heritage Open Days weekend, The Malthouse Project is joining in with the celebrations and will be open on Saturday 13 th September 2008 for guided tours.

The open day will offer visitors a chance to look around the building that had been a working malthouse up until 1917. Many historic features have been preserved and are on display throughout the building.

The timed tours start on the hour between 10am – 3pm. If you would like to book your place on a tour, please contact the Tourist Information Centre on tel: 01284 764667.

The Malthouse Project also boasts a charming café where you can compliment your visit by enjoying one of the many flavoured teas or coffees with a slice of homemade cake or be daring and try our special, the malthouse loaf! The Kiln Café is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
